Base paints are a crucial part of your miniature painting process. They provide a solid foundation, ensuring good coverage and a smooth surface for subsequent paint layers.

How to Use Base Paints:

1. Preparation:

   • Use a neutral or light-colored primer (like grey or white) for the best results with base paints, especially if you're using lighter or brighter colors.

2. Application:

   • Shake the Pot: Ensure the paint is well-mixed by shaking the pot before opening.
   • Load Your Brush: Use a flat, wide brush (such as a Citadel Base Brush) to load the paint. Don't overload your brush – it's better to add multiple thin layers than to apply one thick layer.

   • Layering: You can apply additional thin layers if the first coat doesn’t cover fully. Always wait for the previous layer to dry before applying the next.

3. Drying:
